Wendy French has extensive and unique experience in providing Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Suicide Postvention education and support in numerous businesses and communities around Australia. She is also a sought after speaker and has presented at numerous National and International Conferences and Forums.
Recently, Wendy was awarded Suicide Prevention Australia’s National Life Award for Excellence in Suicide Prevention, Community Development and was a previous nominee for Excellence in Service Delivery. In 2016 Wendy was the recipient of the Tasmania Governments Life Award for Outstanding Contribution to Suicide Prevention and in the same year set up four community based Suicide Prevention Networks in Tasmania.
With a strong belief that suicide prevention is everybody’s business, Wendy has developed Talking About…suite of training programs, incorporating the successful Community Champions program, committed to helping business, organisations, individuals and whole communities learn how to maintain their mental health and to recognise and respond to those impacted by mental health problems, suicide and suicide loss.
